How to Clean Sterling Silver Jewellery Naturally

  • Bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)

  • Boiling water

  • Soft cloth for drying

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  • Prepare the Container:

    • Line the container with aluminium foil, shiny side up.

    • Ensure the foil covers the entire surface, with some overhang to fold over the edges.

     

     

  • Add the Bicarbonate of Soda:

    • Sprinkle a generous amount of bicarbonate of soda over the foil-lined container. Aim for about a tablespoon for a small container, more if you are cleaning multiple pieces.

     

     

  • Place the Jewellery:

    • Arrange your sterling silver jewellery pieces on top of the bicarbonate of soda. Ensure that each piece is in contact with the foil.

     

     

  • Pour Boiling Water:

    • Carefully pour the boiling water into the container until your jewellery is fully submerged.

    • You will notice a fizzing reaction as the bicarbonate of soda reacts with the aluminium foil, cleaning your silver jewellery.

  • Let it Sit:
